The Journey of a Dream

My husband, Pastor How and I have pioneered Heart of God Church since 1999. As two young, idealistic pastors in our 20s - we didn’t know much, we didn’t have much - but we had a godly Dream.

What we have lived out over the past 25 years is encapsulated in this message we have shared globally.

Let’s take a journey … through the Birth, Delay, Death, Resurrection and Fulfilment of a Dream. Through the highest mountaintops and the darkest valleys.

I believe this will put courage in your heart and faith in your spirit for your own, godly dreams to come to pass.

What do you do in a season of Delay?

Every dream goes through a delay.
Right after Joseph had a dream, it immediately went through a delay.

Ps How and I felt this in our pioneering days. We had a dream to reach and build young people for God. We were banging the drums for youths and GenerationS in a time where not many people were talking about it.

In the delay of a dream, the greatest fight is against discouragement and self-doubt.
In the wilderness, Jesus was tempted by the devil too. The greatest temptation was not hunger. It was - “if you are the Son of God” - His identity.

If you are in a season of delays, keep going … Delay is not Denial.

When your Dreams Die – what do you do?

Sometimes we think just because a dream is from God, it can never die.
Joseph had a dream from God but even the dream of God had to go through a delay and death.

Friends, even Jesus had to go through the Cross.
If you want resurrection, you need to go through death.
And if you want Pentecost, you need to go through Calvary.

Remember:

Dreams may die but Dreamers don’t die.
They may kill the Dream but don’t let them kill the Dreamer!

You are the dreamer that God needs on Earth!

The Resurrection of a Dream

Joseph the Dreamer - he learnt the secret to step into the Resurrection of a Dream.
You may not have success yet. Sometimes it is not our success but our scars that cause people to believe. Thomas believed Jesus after he saw His scars.
The final secret? When you make the Dreams of OTHERS come true, God will make your dreams come true like Joseph.
