God wants to ADD to your life!

Matthew 6:33, a favourite scripture for many, reads:

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Often, we focus on “seek first” but in the same verse, it says “and all these things shall be ADDED to you”.

God wants to ADD to your life.
He is looking to add value, significance and purpose.
God does this in many ways, and one of them is through serving Him.

John 4:34 reads:

Jesus said to them, ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.’

What Jesus meant is:

Serving God is NOURISHMENT, not punishment.

What is my calling?

Many times when people ask - What is God's call for me? What is the destiny God has for me?
I will ask them in return - What fulfils you? What nourishes you?

Theologian H. Richard Niebuhr wrote about the Providential Call of God — God provides, and equips you with the necessary talents for what He has called you to.

But you need to take the first step to serve Him.
When you start to serve, your gifts will start to show.
Our good friend Dr. Thomson Mathew, the former dean of theology at Oral Roberts University said this, “Your gifts almost leak out of you as you go about serving God!”

These are the DESTINY CUES that God is dropping in your life.

As we follow these breadcrumbs of Destiny Cues ... We walk into the fullness of our Destiny in God!

God gives us the cues.
So our role is to show up and step out to serve Him.

Where have I been called to?

Another theologian, Frederick Buechner says this, “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet.”

What brings you nourishment?
What makes you come alive?
What are the needs in God’s kingdom – the “deep hunger” – around you that God is calling you to meet?

God has a Destiny for you.
Never let the destiny thief steal what God has for you.

Seek First His Kingdom.
Step out to serve Him.
Follow the Destiny Cues ...
And see what God will add to you and do through you!
